We visited a local fire department twice this past week. We live close to a few, and paid a visit to a different one each time. This has to be the best idea for something that’s free and kids love.
Avery was a bit shy in front of the firemen and the massive trucks, but once home, that’s all she talked about. We’ll have to make a trip back to see the big trucks and kind firemen again soon as it’s quickly becoming a nice break in routine, and daddy likes the big trucks too!
So far, we’ve collected three firemen hats from the fire department (the first visit had two stuck together), and plenty of golden sticker badges. The stickers helped us stop a mounting meltdown already, so I’m making sure to keep plenty of those around for the future!
As always, big thanks to Darren and his never dull #MySundayPhoto linkup. Check out his blog full of beautiful pics and join in on the #MySundayPhoto action!
What an awesome fun day. She looks like she had a great time.
Thank you for linking up
Reminds me of being a dad visiting my dads station when he was in the London Fire Brigade!
That’s good parenting right there pal. Instead of Barbie and the latest and greatest from over priced mouse and his brothel of princesses you are steering her to cool things like fire trucks and construction equipment!!!!!!! Damn if I could do things over again. That’s one happy girl right there in the fire truck picture!
