Red-Hot and Blue-tiful: #MySundayPhoto – 07.26.15

My wife was out in our backyard with Avery following her every move the other day and both were keeping quite busy. It was hot, as usual, but it didn’t seem to slow our little busy toddler down a bit. Kelley brought the camera outside to snap a few shots and ended up capturing this close-up of her red-hot cheeks and beautiful blue eyes.

Another job well done by my wife for getting such a great shot. Maybe I’m a biased parent, okay, I am (aren’t we all?), but her stare goes right through you. Not in a scary “I’m going to haunt you.” kind of way, but more of a “Hi, I’m cute, will you play with me?” way.

I love her deep stare photos, and it never gets old staring right back into her vibrant blue eyes.

Does your kid’s face turn bright red after playing outside?

Do you have a favorite “deep stare” photo of your kids?

Stare From The Chair: #MySundayPhoto – 07.19.15

Avery’s adventuresome curiosity has led her to enjoying a good book in a big chair lately. She climbs anything and everything in our house now, and this chair just seems to suit her tastes.

Credit my wonderful wife, Going Mom, for the great shot of our daughter. She also did the spectacular hair-styling you see. I have yet to give it a try, but fear not, I will be a ponytail making pro soon enough!

Do your kids have a favorite reading spot?

What’s better, hair with or without ties/bands/ribbons/bows?

Straight Hair in AM, Curly in the PM: #MySundayPhoto – 07.12.15

Does your kid have hair with a mind of its own? My wife and I have no clue what to expect from day to day in regards to Avery’s hair. Well, in regards to a lot of things relating to a crazy toddler, but lets focus on the hair here. Whoa, a little tongue twister!

Lately, the trend is to start the day with straight hair and usually happy…

But after nap time (late afternoon), her hair transforms into crazy curls.

Don’t mind the green smoothie face, just focus on that hair coming out to each side. Maybe it’s a way of letting parents know to expect craziness for the rest of the day. If so, it’s pretty accurate..

This “episode” was because we wouldn’t hold her while she drank her green and very stain-causing smoothie. Don’t worry, she calmed down and drank it just fine with just a single tear left for evidence.

Does your kid have hair that changes throughout the day?

What about your hair?

Did you hear about the hare that lived here but had to move over there?
