Incoming!! Pictures of a Teething Baby

We’ve been pulling the teething card on Avery’s crankiness for several months now, starting when she was four months. Now, just days away from 8 months, we can actually confirm teeth are pushing their way through her gums.

I’m sure you experienced parents know the feeling, excitement and fear combined, and we’re definitely going through this now. On one hand, it’s exciting to watch our baby grow and hit another milestone, but at the same time….TEETHING!! AHHHH.

Okay, I’m calm again…for now.

Since our little girl will soon have boob-threatening teeth, I wanted to create a post with a picture compilation of Avery chewing on different things. Completely random, I know, but this is what my blog is all about; sharing our journey.

So, what do you think makes the best teether?

Actual teethers, bear heads, pink balls, green balls, wooden spoon, yellow balls, recorders, carrots, plastic rings, inflatable balls, cucumber, Daddy’s finger, or bear paws?

Right now, I’d say it’s a draw between pink balls and the wooden spoon.

Baby Facial Expressions. Because, Why Not?

The Monday after a July 4th weekend is perfect for a picture-themed post.

We had a great, but exhausting time spending two nights at G-Ma’s for the first time. After making it back home on Sunday, Going Mom and I ran around doing chores and tending to the yard.

I will have a recap of the weekend up soon, but in the meantime, here are several pictures of Avery’s cute, sometimes eerie, facial expressions I’ve been able to snap a shot of.

June Photo Journal and I Can’t Believe They Did “This” in the 1930’s

Now that Avery is becoming an active baby, I want to start posting some of my favorite photos at the end of each month. I’ll still have plenty of posts documenting every minute detail of her daily activities like any new parent would, but these are just like bonuses.

Before I begin, I wanted to share this article about something invented for babies in the 1930’s; a window cage suspended outside of a window! It was proposed as a solution to provide babies with fresh air and sunshine to those living in high buildings with limited access to the outside, but thankfully no longer used! Crazy times…
